Call for Special Sessions | ICCT 2026

The International Conference on Convergent Technologies 2026 (ICCT 2026) invites distinguished researchers and academicians to submit proposals for Special Sessions.

The primary goal of a Special Session is to provide a focused, in-depth forum on emerging, innovative, or particularly challenging topics at the intersection of AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, Renewable Energy Systems, Electronics & Embedded Systems, and Smart Engineering. We especially encourage proposals that explore novel, cross-disciplinary themes, “breaking news” research trends, or applied problems that bridge two or more of our core conference tracks.

Organizers of accepted Special Sessions will be responsible for promoting their session to attract high-quality submissions, will be consulted during the final paper selection process for their session, and will be invited to chair the session during the conference at ENSA Khouribga.

Proposal Requirements

Each proposal must present a coherent theme that highlights its relevance and novelty to the field of converging technologies. The session description will be published in the conference program and proceedings. Proposals must demonstrate a strong foundation through a list of committed papers.

A complete proposal must include the following:

  1.  Title of the Proposed Special Session: A clear and compelling title.
  2. Organizers: Names, affiliations, contact information, and brief biographies (max. 200 words each) for all session organizers (typically 2-3 individuals from different institutions is encouraged).
  3. Session Abstract & Rationale: A comprehensive description (300-500 words) outlining:
  4. The significance and timeliness of the proposed topic.
  5. List of Committed Papers: A minimum of five (5) tentatively committed papers is required to ensure session viability. For each paper, please provide:
    •  Note: To ensure diversity, no single author should co-author more than two of the initially committed papers.

Evaluation & Process

Special Session proposals will be evaluated by the ICCT 2026 Technical Program Committee based on the following criteria:

  • Timeliness and Novelty of the proposed topic.
  • Clear relevance to the interdisciplinary mission of ICCT 2026.
  • Quality and viability as demonstrated by the list of committed papers and the organizers’ expertise.
  • Potential to attract a wide range of submissions and conference attendees.

Once a proposal is accepted, it will be listed as an official submission track. All papers submitted to a Special Session will undergo the same rigorous, double-blind peer-review process as regular conference submissions to guarantee the highest quality standards.

Please Note: The final composition of each Special Session is subject to the review outcomes. If a session receives more accepted papers than the schedule allows, it may be split into multiple parts, or some papers may be reassigned to other relevant technical sessions.

Proposal Submission Deadline: March 1, 2026
